Summary: replicantDB was initialized at ~/dev/apps/replicantDB as a full copy of apps/rooDB @ 57a2416 with identifiers renamed; rooDB.app and rdDB.app were paused and the rooDB LaunchAgent was unloaded fleet-wide. 163/163 tests re-derived from the new root. Also: the broken ls → eza --icons alias was removed from ~/.zshrc on rdmsm4x, and a new terminal-shell-env skill was created.

Scope

• rdmsm4x (all project/registry/shell changes) + daemon unload on rdmbair13m5, rdmbair15m5, rdmpw3275m via SSH (not present on rdmpw3265m, jdmbair13m5).

What changed

Project structure

• ~/dev/apps/replicantDB created: APFS clonefile copy of apps/rooDB @ 57a2416 (clean tree, no stale index.lock, verified before copy).
• Rename pass (commit 38d7a8c): git mv of all RooDB*/rooDB/roodb dirs and files; case-preserving content rename RooDB→ReplicantDB / rooDB→replicantDB / roodb→replicantdb across 64 tracked text files. Excluded: docs/history/, provenance/, artifacts/ (provenance keeps original names). Bundle ID → com.eastcoastscience.replicantDB; products replicantDB.app, replicantdb-cli, replicantdb-mcp; fresh store path ~/Library/Application Support/replicantDB/.
• Git remote renamed origin → roodb-legacy (no accidental push target; pushing is Rich's call). Second commit 91a8b44: lineage doc corrections, seed-era ISSUES block, icon candidates.
• apps/rooDB/PAUSED.md created — tree FROZEN at 57a2416. apps/rdDB/MOVED.md tombstone.
• ~/dev/replicantDB (empty dev-root folder) removed by Rich; project lives under apps/.

Daemon (reversible)

• com.eastcoastscience.rooDB.daemon: launchctl bootout gui/501/... and plist renamed com.eastcoastscience.rooDB.daemon.plist.paused-20260824 on rdmsm4x, rdmbair13m5, rdmbair15m5, rdmpw3275m.
• Undo: rename the plist back and launchctl bootstrap gui/501 <plist> per host.
• rooDB's live DB (~/Library/Application Support/rooDB/roodb.sqlite, 627,660 rows) untouched; import into replicantDB at launch is optional (deferred).

Registries / coordination

• ~/dev/PROJECTS.md replicantDB row rewritten (path ~/dev/apps/replicantDB, ACTIVE/SEEDED).
• ~/dev/data/products.json: rooDB entry → replicantDB (name/path/slug + seed_note); "AI Architecture" docs path repointed to apps/replicantDB/docs.
• ~/dev/AUTHORITY.md ownership table: rooDB row → paused/frozen; replicantDB row added.
• ~/dev/PLAN-replicantdb-rename-20260825.md: SUPERSEDED section appended.
• Fleet bus broadcast 20260824-221828-81B0EEA4 (roodb-15 asked to stand down).

Shell / skills (rdmsm4x)

• ~/.zshrc: alias ls='eza --icons' REMOVED (bare --icons greedily ate the next path argument); ll/la/lt fixed to --icons=auto. Backup: ~/.zshrc.bak-20260824-2211. Undo: restore the backup.
• New skill ~/.claude/skills/terminal-shell-env/ v1.0.0 (zsh/alias gotchas reference); snapshot archived at ~/dev/concepts/llm-wiki/_assets/skill-archive/terminal-shell-env-v1-0-0-2026-08-24.skill. Note: the global CLAUDE.md skill-archive path (~/Documents/Development/...) does not exist on rdmsm4x; the live archive above was used.

Verification evidence

• swift test from ~/dev/apps/replicantDB: Executed 163 tests, with 0 failures, 2026-08-24 22:28 EDT (one fix en route: the PRD-path test, see above).
• ./build.sh release: exit 0; codesign -dv dist/replicantDB.app → Identifier=com.eastcoastscience.replicantDB, arm64, ad-hoc (production signing remains an open P1 gate). Stale rooDB build outputs removed from dist/.
• launchctl print confirms daemon absent from gui/501 after bootout; per-host SSH sweep output recorded in session.
• zsh -ic 'ls …; ll …' verified post-alias-fix.

Outstanding owner actions (Rich)

1. Flag keep/reject on assets/icon-candidates/gallery-round1.html (icon round 1).
2. Provide the origami icon-sheet source image for archiving (not found on local disk).
3. Decide import-vs-fresh-index at launch (deferred, default fresh).
4. CloudKit container name (team-permanent) before any schema promotion.
