Initialized the canonical Arista stencil project as a portable, reproducibly validated local project while preserving all immutable official sources, current working stencil artifacts, the Documents recovery copy, and the unrelated BNY source file; local main is integrated but nothing was pushed or published.

Preservation checks rehashed every official-source inventory entry, compared the content-only source manifest with the disposable input copy, checked the four canonical VSSX files, verified the BNY file, and checked both repositories:

PLAN (1).md remained byte-identical at SHA-256 27004a13a6abed5373fb77211b7fce469dc0bdda6c8e4669376104b1b89fb846 and stayed physically in place.
/Users/richh/Documents/arista_stencils remains present and unchanged as recovery material.
The nested status-site repository remained clean. Website repair was dispatched separately to task 01a0426b-b2fa-75e0-bf6e-6e64f7012dfe in /Users/richh/dev/dev.dataroo.net and did not block stencil integration.

Recovery and undo

The pre-task Git state remains reachable at 9236d40b721267573cfb017840722b6b1c4f3a2b; both remote main refs still point there.
The feature branch and linked worktree were deliberately retained for inspection and rollback evidence.
The recovery copy remains at /Users/richh/Documents/arista_stencils.
The disposable validation root remains at /tmp/arista-stencils-validation.gajndw while the OS retains it; browser screenshots are under /tmp/arista-stencil-*-20260827-{final,main}*.png.
To reverse only the two local project commits without rewriting history, first verify a clean canonical checkout and then run git revert --no-edit 31d0b98091aacbac5dabecc2fa04dce2426b47e6 e27c9dbc846391c8edfd472d2de0b69f6ebc8252. Do not reset, delete recovery material, or rewrite remote history.
If durable coordination records need correction, append a superseding reconciliation record rather than deleting this changelog or the completed check-in.

Outstanding owner actions

Initialization itself needs no further owner action.
Run an OmniGraffle GUI import smoke test for all four VSSX libraries from an unlocked rdmsm4x desktop before treating package QA as application-level acceptance.
Rotate the credential referenced by the ignored local status generator and complete its environment/Keychain migration in the separate website task before regeneration or publication.
Supply or approve exact official Arista artwork for the 98 missing active faceplates and the 42 legacy-review items; do not synthesize physical hardware detail.
The BNY owner still needs to acknowledge the pointer-only provenance dispatch for PLAN (1).md; no move or edit is requested here.
