Adopted Matt Pocock's Claude Code skills (mattpocock/skills, MIT, v1.2.3 — /grill-me and 24 others) as a user-scope plugin on every Mac in the fleet, so every Claude Code session on any host has them.

permissions.defaultMode was NOT touched on any host.

Incidental repair — jdmbair13m5

claude was mode 644 in its Caskroom and failed zsh:1: permission denied: claude (exit 126) — the known post-upgrade exec-bit trap in fleet-operations → references/claude-code-install.md. Fixed with chmod +x /opt/homebrew/Caskroom/claude-code@latest/2.1.251/claude; claude --version then returned 2.1.251. The binary also still carries com.apple.quarantine, which was left alone because it is not currently blocking execution.

Verification evidence

claude plugin list + claude plugin details mattpocock-skills run over SSH on all six hosts. Every host returned: plugin enabled, scope user, version 1.2.3, Skills (25), and skills/productivity/grill-me present on disk. Projected always-on cost ~1.1–1.6k tokens/session.

Known interactions (not defects)

Name collisions. code-review, research, and handoff also exist elsewhere in the loadout. Bare /code-review still resolves to code-review@claude-plugins-official; Pocock's is /mattpocock-skills:code-review. /grill-me is unambiguous.
setup-matt-pocock-skills, triage, and to-tickets assume Pocock's own issue-tracker/labels layout. The fleet already has rdmsm4x:~/dev/issues/ with the ticket CLI (fleet-ticketing). Do not run setup-matt-pocock-skills against a fleet repo without deciding which tracker wins.
Skills are read-only plugin copies and auto-update via claude plugin update mattpocock-skills.

Pass 2 — non-Claude agents (2026-08-30 16:14–16:20 EDT)

Rich approved extending the adoption to the other harnesses. Installed via the repo's own CLI into the fleet's existing multi-agent skill store, ~/.agents/skills:

claude-code was deliberately excluded from the -a list — Claude Code already has these via the plugin, and including it would have put 25 duplicate, differently-named copies into ~/.claude/skills.

The CLI installs 37 skill directories where the Claude plugin exposes 25 — the extra 12 are Pocock's non-curated extras (loop-me, retro, writing-beats, writing-fragments, writing-shape, claude-handoff, implement-spec, setup-ts-deep-modules, setup-pre-commit, scaffold-exercises, migrate-to-shoehorn, git-guardrails-claude-code). Same upstream repo, different curation.

~/.agents/skills did not previously exist on rdmpw3265m, rdmpw3275m, or jdmbair13m5; the CLI created it plus ~/.agents/.skill-lock.json. On those three hosts node/npx are not on a non-interactive login shell's PATH (fnm initialises only in interactive shells), so the install was run with an explicit PATH prefix of $HOME/.local/share/fnm/node-versions/<latest>/installation/bin. Nothing was installed to fix that — it is a pre-existing PATH shape, not a fault introduced here.

Verification: skills ls -g --json on rdmsm4x reports grill-me -> ['Antigravity','Antigravity CLI', 'Codex','Cursor','Gemini CLI','Warp'] (no Claude Code), while Rich's own skills such as fleet-operations still report all seven. All six hosts re-checked for Claude Code contamination: none.

Outstanding owner actions

Decide the tracker question above before anyone runs setup-matt-pocock-skills.
Two update paths now exist for the same upstream repo and can drift: claude plugin update mattpocock-skills (Claude Code) and npx skills@latest update -g (the rest). Run both, or pick one surface as canonical.

Durable record

Apple Notes: filed to the fleet-wide llmlog folder by ~/scripts/notes_changelog.zsh, run through sudo launchctl asuser <uid> to reach the Aqua session (a plain SSH/background session is Background and the script correctly refuses there).
