Preservation and rollback

• No separate backup was required because all project writes are isolated on a new linked worktree/branch and the exact reviewed base remains intact.
• Nothing was merged, pushed, signed, installed, or deployed.
• Safest rollback: leave the branch unmerged.
• If integrated later, revert 3d834cf53fb1f2fd5050368c22ac5d1d27bbb8ff and then 967de41392bb5f8c2404ac97f6b6028c2fc1ed7d.
• Existing fleet-cache and chat-outbox data do not need deletion for rollback.

Outstanding owner actions

• Review and integrate the two commits onto the selected Build 16 successor.
• Treat signed artifact identity, physical-device lifecycle QA, any production private-CloudKit read, notification/APNs evidence, canary, deployment, and fleet acceptance as separate unperformed gates.
