Summary: Recovered a 10-hour Apple Notes hang that had silently blocked every changelog publication on rdmsm4x since ~00:13, republished the 41 affected changelogs, and closed out the open items from last night's coordination pass (icon-pass ticket, XEntropy gate follow-ups, bundle-id exception, Notes ticket correction).

rdmsm4x only. No other host touched. No deploys.

Changes

Notes.app recovery (09:39 EDT). sample 91672 showed the main thread blocked in HIServices _AXXMIGCopyHierarchy → CoreAccessibility for ~10 h (0% CPU), so the AppleEvent queue never drained and every osascript call timed out. Sent kill -TERM 91672 (exited within 1 s), then open -a Notes (new pid 74141). Undo: none needed; Notes autosaves.
Republished pending changelogs. Background job ran zsh ~/scripts/notes_changelog.zsh <file> --wait 120 for the 41 rdmsm4x-changelog-20260903-* files written after the hang (helper replaces same-titled notes, so this is idempotent). Results: see the log line at the end of this file.
ISSUE-20260903-01 corrected. My claim that the helper exits 0 on failure was wrong: line 144 calls die (exit 1); the 0 came from my own backgrounded wrapper. Root cause and recovery recorded on the ticket.
TASK-20260902-14 (09-01 icon pass) resolved after measuring: codex preserved the XEntropy candidate at _migration/conflicts/rdmsm4x-20260903-xentropy-generated-icon-candidate (14 files) and moved 17 untracked Support/ dirs + the BitRoo Resources set to _migration/conflicts/rdmsm4x-20260903-portfolio-untracked-icon-candidates (200 files, manifests present). The 19 apps that still carry an icon have it tracked and clean. Nothing deleted; undo is mv back.
XEntropy P2 gates verified resolved in canonical main (fc2bfd5 contains 9c317b5): rollback no longer gated on vNext health (retire script lines 210–309), installer writes tyrell-light (line 706) and launches in the GUI domain (line 724), recovery runbook present. Replied to codex's unanswered 01:04/01:32 requests post-hoc (bus 20260903-094046-7E2AAD50). Marked requests-to-claude/codex-request-xentropy-vnext-review-20260903.md completed.
~/dev/apps/Xentropy/CLAUDE.md created (commit 379bd16 on main, by explicit path): product mode and the recorded app.xentropy.XEntropy bundle-id exception with the reason a rename is a new-app identity. Undo: git revert 379bd16.
Earlier this session (00:35–00:50, already in the 0008 changelog): replicantDB build 35 snapshot ACCEPT; XEntropy c2a2242 and 3de628d reviews in ~/dev/_handoff/claude-out/.

Publication status line

2026-09-03 10:28 EDT: Apple Notes republication of the 42 changelogs (this one included) is PENDING. Notes answers app-level AppleEvents but no store-backed ones since the 09:39 relaunch: search-index rebuild over the 851 MB store (measured with sample). The scratch publisher keeps probing until ~10:52; if it aborts, re-run zsh ~/scripts/notes_changelog.zsh <file> per file once osascript -e 'tell application "Notes" to get count of folders' answers. Tracked in ISSUE-20260903-01 (open).
