Initialized this Codex task against the existing canonical Arista stencil project and freshly validated its preserved working snapshot. No project source, source assets, VSSX, ZIP, repository refs, or published site was changed.
Scope and state

- Canonical root: /Users/richh/dev/lib/arista/arista_stencils. Mode: Prototype.
- Local main, origin main, and backup main all observed at 3892070f8310e707d2097b2350590aa60e3188a7.
- Main project and nested status-site working trees are clean.
- Current output: outputs/arista_stencils_2026-07-15-v2. These remain working snapshots, not a final release.
Fresh verification
- PYTHONDONTWRITEBYTECODE=1 uv run --frozen python -m unittest discover -s tests -v: 8 tests, OK, exit 0.
- uv lock --check, npm ls --depth=0, node --check for both QA scripts, git diff --check: passed; Playwright 1.61.1 resolved.
- Called validate_vssx_packages.validate(path) for all four existing VSSX packages without invoking its report-writing main: all pass, zero errors or warnings.
- AP: 15 masters / 109 connection points. Fixed: 154 / 7505. Modular: 131 / 3162. PoE: 38 / 1399. Total: 338 / 12175.
- Rehashed the 37 ready entries in source_assets/arista.com/source-inventory.json: 37 unique hashes, zero mismatches, zero incomplete-download suffixes found.
- Python zipfile.ZipFile.testzip() on combined working ZIP: None (no corrupt member), 386 entries, 260517292 bytes.

Coverage and remaining work
- Existing audit manifest: 50 verified masters; 288 legacy-review masters needing replacement or exact verification.
- Existing regulatory report, based on the July 2026 price list: 161 active faceplates = 21 verified + 42 legacy-review + 98 missing. This counts faceplates rather than front/rear master views.
- Logical references: 4 flat-gray plus 12 dimensional-gray assets; 0 production logical VSSX masters.
- Last recorded OmniGraffle smoke test is inconclusive-locked-session. No successful live application import was established today. No OmniGraffle bundle was found at the documented /Applications/OmniGraffle.app path or by the Spotlight bundle-id query.
- PUBLISHING.md and ISSUES.md still record an unsafe credential-bearing ignored status generator; it was not opened, executed, or copied. No evidence of credential rotation established by this review.
- SESSION-STATE.md retains August ownership/no-push statements that predate the September 3 merged commits and today's matching remote heads.
- Separate maintained website project and its snapshot exist under /Users/richh/dev/sites/dev.dataroo.net/sites/arista-stencil-status; snapshot captured August 27. Current deployment was not reverified.
- Read FEAT-20260830-13: its resolved framework status does not contain final stencil coverage or successful importer evidence.
Files produced and recovery
- This changelog and a completed read-only check-in in ~/.agent-coordination/checkins/.
- Browser captures under /Users/richh/.codex/visualizations/2026/09/22/01a0cb33-8d10-7970-8388-6fa8a7d580e9/arista-*.png.
- Original project and recovery files unchanged; no product rollback required. Review records/captures are additive.
- Next engineering work: repair safe report generation, complete source acquisition and legacy replacement, then validate all four imports before release. No owner action requested during this status review.
